first record you ever bought? the boo radleys - 'giant steps'. when i was about 12...i'd seen them playing 'lazarus' on the telly and i had to have it...still a great record. last record you bought? fear factory - 'obsolete'. compulsory purchase...i don't think it's as good as 'demanufacture' but it's not bad. record you play before going out on the razz? the verve - 'blue' from the 'a storm in heaven' lp. complete adrenaline rush, i'm not sure why... record you play the morning after a night on the razz? primal scream - 'echo dek'. mad stoned dub, involving enough to wake you up but not too harsh... record to get you "in the mood"? ahem...anything by cradle of filth... worst record you own? ah, i got given this filter album once, i've never even listened to more than about thirty seconds of it.. record you like, but everyone else you know hates? probably a verve record actually... favourite record sleeve? spacemen 3 - 'playing with fire', for that "love purity accuracy suicide revolution" thing. apparently it was the slogan of the velvet underground's management company or something.. record you'd play to clear out a party? anything by the happy flowers three albums worth 10/10? spacemen 3 - 'playing with fire', the stone roses - 'the stone roses', pavement - 'wowee zowee' take me home |
